Prerequisites
Before you get started, make sure you have:
An active Xoxoday Plum account with admin access.
Admin or HR privileges in Zoho People.
Sufficient reward points or wallet balance in your Xoxoday account.
(Optional) A list of locations or employee types for whom the program will be applicable.
Step 1: Set Up the Integration
1. Navigate to Integrations
Go to your Xoxoday Plum Admin Dashboard and click on Integrations.
2. Connect Zoho People
Find Zoho People in the integrations list and click Connect.
3. Activate in Zoho Marketplace
You’ll be redirected to the Zoho People Marketplace. Click Activate to enable the integration.
4. Log in & Confirm Activation
Log in with your Zoho People credentials and accept the terms and conditions to complete activation.
Step 2: Configure Integration Settings
Once activated, you can customise how the integration behaves for your organisation.
1. Define Applicability
Choose which locations and employee types are eligible to receive rewards. This ensures that only relevant users are part of your recognition program.
2. Save Settings
Click Save to finalise your preferences.
Step 3: Award Points to Employees
Once setup is complete, awarding points is seamless and can be done directly from Zoho People.
1. Go to an Employee Profile
Navigate to the profile of the employee you want to reward. Only administrators and reporting managers can award points.
2. Click on “Reward Points”
Here, you’ll see:
Total available points – your organisation’s wallet balance.
Employee’s current points – how many they already have.
Points to be awarded – how many you want to give.
Awarded For – add a note or reason for recognition.
3. Assign Points
Click Assign Points to complete the process. The employee will receive the points instantly, along with an email notification.
Step 4: Employee Redemption Experience
Here’s what the experience looks like from an employee’s perspective:
1. Redeem from Zoho People Home
Employees can view their available points in the Xoxoday widget on their Zoho People homepage. Clicking Redeem Points starts the redemption journey.
2. Seamless Access to Storefront
Clicking Redeem Points takes them directly to the Xoxoday storefront — no extra login required, thanks to a secure single sign-on (SSO) flow handled in the background.
3. Browse & Choose a Reward
Employees can explore a wide range of gift cards, merchandise, experiences, and vouchers.
4. Add to Cart & Checkout
Once they select a reward, they can add it to the cart, proceed to checkout, and confirm. Their reward points will be automatically applied.
